I have 2 versions of card #128...one has a gold foil pyramid on front and the other a silver foil pyramid. Which is which version?

I 'guess' it's thicker...but not by much.

The other possibility is the gold foil faded to silver over time

I am guessing my silver foil version is the "foil" parallel set (in the inserts and related section), not the premium stock version.

I agree with glennchannell post above. Beckett lists a Premium Stock Silver parallel. COMC also has a Silver parallel and a Foil parallel. The Foil has the Gold pyramid. The Silver has the Silver pyramid, which is more than likely thicker card stock (and is different from the Artist's Proofs) as well.TCDB doesn't list a Silver or a Premium Stock, and I think one could be added.

Premium Stock is linked above. It's a separate hobby set, not an insert of the regular.

I'm not talking aboout the Premuim Stock version. The 'regular' version comes in gold foil (base) and what is listed as a 'foil' version, which I am guessing is silver.

The foil version you see listed is a small layer of silvery foil layered over the card. It's similar to the Rainbow Foil that Topps uses in the flagship set today. '95 Pro Line is a contemporary example. It look identical to the base card outside of that. The triangle where the name is should still be gold; silver triangle would be Artist's Proof.
