NHL Team sticker inserts @1987 or @1988?

I was re-checking my NJ Devils collection & noticed that the team logo sticker from 1988-89 Topps is the same as the 1987-88 Topps sticker, down to the 1987 copyright date. Was this just Topps being lazy & re-issuing leftover stickers in new packs? Do team logo stickers exist with a 1988 copyright date? Just curious.

I believe it was just Topps being lazy. The 88-89 team logo stickers are the same as the previous seasons including the numbers on the upper and or lower half of the fronts. ------------------------------- "They've done studies, you know.
