1990-91 Pro Set Hockey Forum

I was sorting some of my old hockey cards today when I discovered a Ray Bourque #357 All Star card with the back topsy turvey.  Ray's head is in the lower left corner and the number 357 is in the lower right corner. All the other All Star cards, including another Bourque card, have the head pictures in the upper right portion and the card numbers in the upper left corner. Has anyone ever seen one like this? I am also so surprised that this could happen, since the  1990-91 Pro Set cards hardly had any errors!!! Hardee-har-har

Yes, I had a couple like that as well - with the backs oriented "upside down" compared to others.  I had a Joe Sakic AS and a Jaromir Jagr RC with that quirk, I think.  Obvoiusly, some sheets were just fed into the printer the wrong way.  I also had properly oriented versions of those UDBs (upside-down-backs), so it's not a full production run type of error.  Maybe just limited to Series II cards, but I am only speaking from personal experience.  If someone has UDB Devils cards from that set, LMK :)

Thank you for that info.  At least it is a little rarer than the "normal" #357's.  I will still keep hunting for that ultra rare card that is hiding somewhere in my collection!

There are ten, specific series one All-Star players who can be found with upside down backs. Not a random misprint, it affected a distinct printing of series one. Same with the Pittsburgh Penguins players. 

Anything series two would be a misprint since an entire print run was not affected by it.
