How do you tell the difference? I purchased what I believed to be the OPC version but side by side they look the same? I even looked at other scans from this site to see a difference and I could not.
Any help?

I noticed that a dozen or more cards in this set had the OPC card back where the regular TSC card should be shown. Then I looked through the set more closely to find that nearly all images were tagged for replacement. Some had borders showing from bad cropping, others had the bottom cropped off the card. Were these done in a blitz fashion in the early days of this website? To do the work now of scanning and cropping/replacing is a tedious job with no reward of points or even a mention in the Contributors. I just completed 3 cards front and back. It would be nice to receive those acknowlegements as a small 'thank you'...and shouldn't the member who did a second rate job lose his points?

This has been discussed before and this is probably the outcome of most discussions. When the site was created and the images were uploaded, technology in scanning / cropping was not as advanced as it is today, yes a mere 14-15 years. The ability to crop minute slivers off the edges and to rotate tenths of a degree were not there in the programs. It is now.
So, if the image of a card is the correct one but is not perfect to today's standards, it may be marked for replacement. The person who originally uploaded the image will not lose his points for initially submitting the image. The one who does replace it will not be awarded the usual points as if uploading an image where there is not one already. But at the end of the month, the contributions such as these and fixing errors in the site data are "compiled" and points are awarded then in mass to those who did that extra work that is not automatically recognized.
If it is the wrong image that is already there, it should not have been marked for replacement but an IR should have been submitted explaining why it was the wrong image and for it to be removed. In this instance, the original contributor would lost the points he had gained and the new contributor would get the points if submitting after the removal of the old image.
Additional to all of this, with the zoom lens having been brought in a couple of years ago (almost scared to say a time period lest I be wrong and be crucified for it), I would like all of those minute VAR such as the Donruss baseball sets be re-scanned so that the dot or no dot would be easily discernable. We would not remove the current images but those who would add all new scans would benefit at the end of the month.

Thanks for that info. I will set about sending IRs for the wrong card backs. And then begin replacing the other cards as I find time.

Actually, Bruno was partially incorrect. If a card has been tagged for replacement, the member submitting a suitable replacement receives points for their contribution.

From what I've read the OPC should be it's own set. Below is a snippet, but the same I've read from other sites. OPC were not inserted nito Topps pack (like they did a few years later), but it's own release.
https://puckjunk.com/2019/12/30/every-1993-94-hockey-card-set-ranked/
"The first series was also sold in Canada and is referred to as “Stadium Club OPC,” though the cards are printed in just English, and not bilingual like other OPC cards. The only way to differentiate the OPC versions is that OPC cards have “Printed in the USA” on the back. “First Day Production” parallels were found one per box, while a “Members Only” parallel box set was available via mail order."

Revisiting this one, if the OPC version was only available in Canada and independent from U.S. packs, now that we have the tools to make migrations easier, I'd like to move the OPC "parallel" out to Major Release standalone and move the First Day Issue OPC and All-Stars OPC to the new location.
Does anyone know if the other inserts were also included in the Canadian packs? I don't see any "PTD in U.S.A." versions of those.
