They are uncommon, but also not too rare. Many cards went out that were not signed by the drivers. Traks sent the cards to the drivers to get signed and the drivers signed as many as they WANTED to sign. They kept some cards for themselves and sent the rest back to Traks whether they were signed or not. Traks packed out most of the unsigned ones anyway. The reason the Rudd card got the SP is because it was known that he returned way less copies of signed cards than unsigned ones. Unsigned cards ARE NOT 1/1's in any way! Traks sent a reported 5,000 copies to each person in the set. Most of them were not signed and also returned to Traks. The drivers kept some and used them for personal signing appearances. There is no way to tell if the signed cards on the secondary market came from packs or from personal appearances (unless there is a secondary marker from an appearance or show). There is also no way to tell where the unsigned cards came from (packs or fan giveaways by drivers/teams). As the Traks Spokesperson, it's claimed that Parsons signed all of his cards and they were packed out or given out at trade shows. I'd say that the Petty/Earnhardt AU'd card is the next rarest after the Rudd AU card. So I'd expect the unsigned cards for Rudd and Petty/Earnhardt to be the highest number in the market. But I still don't have an unsigned Rudd card yet, so maybe he kept way more than was reported back then and he hasn't let go of them yet.
