I don't collect basketball, but want to make sure I have this right for the cards I ended up with that will be on my trade list.

It appears that the base set has the names surrounded with a reflective outline (shiny) and is the retail version just a silver outline? Just want to make sure I enter these right and some of the card fronts (might be how they were scanned or just my eye sight - either is possible) appear kind of silver too.

So shiny = main set, flat silver outline = retail "parallel"?

The football set has the same design and that's how they did the football cards; shiny=base/hobby, flat=retail.
