1989 Star Everett Giants Baseball Forum

Anyone know if such a thing is common or 'a thing' for cards from this manufacturer. I have what I thought was this team set, went to enter them into my catalog, but my cards are blue in colour not red. Everything else lines up in terms of the photos, card numbers etc, mine are just blue...

The cards I have are not from the multiteam base Star set as the card numbers dont align. For example my Maximo Aleys is card #1

The blue-bordered 1989 sets are the "Platinum" sets, limited to a maximum of 1,000 sets released. If the Platinum "parallel" set does not exist here, let me know and I'll add it.

I assume there are platinum type sets for other team sets that Star released in the 1989 season ? I think I may have the Dundein Blue Jays set as well, as the cards I have are blue bordered (which is also the case for the base set), but the player name, team name and position on the front are in white, not blue as is shown on the base cards.

I can scan in the cards for the Everett set, and assuming they are a separate set the Dunedin ones, just not tonight, getting towards bedtime now....

Yes, but only 1989 had Platinum parallels. We didn't make them in 1988 or 1990.
