The patch I have, the checklist is much clearer to read than the Turgeon back as mine is not inside the plastic. #22 is listed as Prototype with an astrick, at the bottom it states "#22 will always denote a prototype patch." So my question is this, should the set list 22 as PROTOTYPE? The set on here has it as Grant Mulvey, no clue why as he last played in the NHL is the early 80s for Chicago and this set is well after he retired. Plus it is in the middle of the Canadiens portion and he nevre played for them. Any help would be greatly appreciated. =)

Did some research on Beckett.com and it makes perfect sense. He was the President of Seasons. The patch was only available by Mulvey, the public could not purchase a #22 patch. Collectors don't consider it to be a part of the complete set accoriding to them.

So I would say leave it as Mulvey and make it a PR1 with the expalnation in the release notes. Correct?

By what SunDevil is saying, Mr. Mulvey took it upon himself as the President of the company to make 1 patch of himself that was not available to the public. Eventhough it is not "considered" as part of the set by collectors it still is patch #22 (maybe his jersey number?) and as such should be listed as so. Hence why his name is on the checklist. Only one made so Print Run of one. I was just asking.

No. It was only available from him as a handout meaning there were more than one made.

PRES would work as he was the pres of the company. I think the PR is unknown.
Also, PROMO would work as it was a promotional item, not available in packs - in fact, I would say that it should be moved out of the set listing and put in the area where single promo/inserts go. Note of "PROMO, PRES". Make sure the definitions are correct (they both will auto-populate to Print Run and neither are!).

I stand corrected, thanks for the info BTW SunDevil, muchly appreciated. So the Beckett bunch is more correct than I thought, see still learning. I can have Admin look over the thread and make a decision if you think it is warranted?

I'm new to TCDB, so I've just submitted my first scan (the Lemieux #34), but I have two different #22 prototype patches. I'd heard of a prototype Ron Francis, and finally found one a while back, but surprisingly I have just found and purchased another #22, this time an alternate version of the Kevin Stevens patch. So now I'm wondering if there are even more #22 prototypes out there.
Once I get the hang of it, hopefully I will upload almost all of the Penguins patches for both years. I only need the 93-94 Shawn McEachern patch. Hopefully I can upload the two prototype patches somewhere also.
