How do you tell the difference between the base set and the Silver Proofs?

Just like the title asks, how do you tell the difference between the base set and the silver proofs? I pulled 1 gold out of the pack, and I have a White Sox player that looks silver, but I can't really tell, since their color scheme is black and white lol.

All of the cards I just opened have foil around the sides. I do not believe that I just opened a pack with 11 silver inserts and 1 gold. lol

There's a difference between foil and holographic foil. If it isn't rainbow-like, it's plain foil. If you can see some rainbow effect, it's holographic, and it's the silver press proof.
