I collect sets for the Pawtucket Red Sox, and I've obtained the vast majority of sets ever produced for them, including the 1975 TCMA minor league set, but I can't seem to find any other collectors that have even seen the 1977 team set. Can anyone confirm that this set even exists?

Thanks, man, I didn't even see that on Beckett! Well, even one pic is proof they're out there SOMEWHERE, but it must be obscenely rare if that's the only pic I've found of even a single card in two years searching; Guess I should stop loosing sleep looking for it, for now haha! I appreciate your help!

This is an old thread, but I just happened to see it. I can attest that this set exists, as I have one of these "cards." As you might have been able to tell from Beckett, they're oversized, blank-backed photos, without even the player's name or any other writing or graphics.

I'd be eternally grateful to anyone who can help me find a 1998 Bryan Braves (non-perforated) Kerry Ligtenberg and a 2000 Nabisco Albertson's Astros Chris Truby. Last missing items in a 10,000-card "set."

I was looking and the 1977 appears to be more of a set of photos rather than a set of cards. Beckett provides this set info "These photos, which measure either 5" by 7" or 8" by 10" feature members of the 1977 Pawtucket Red Sox. We have sequenced this set in alphabetical order."

Yes, it's correct to call them photos. Similar to the more common MLB team-issued photcards, except larger and without any printing. I have an 8x10, so I can't say anything about the 5x7s.

I've found, but didn't purchase, 4 of the photos from this set, and all of them were 8x10. It doesn't really make sense to list these as cards then, eh?

Falls under the category "If Beckett lists a photograph it is considered a trading card"

I get that, they also list a pair of posters that my local AHL team gave out as 'cards', though they are really just posters that use a trading card motif. Ah well.
