I purchased a box of Fairfield repackages at Target the other day. Nothing spectacular but a couple of odd things. Instead of the usual 100 loose cards along with 4 unopened packs and a surprise (which turned out to be a Topps coin if anyone wants it). They substituted the 100 loose cards with a factory sealed and shrink wrapped 1990 Score Rookie and Traded Set, also available for trade if anyone really wants it.
The other odd thing i found in a pack of 2013 Topps updates, it was a Sapphire Foil Parallel card #438 of Yasmani Grandal 20/25. Very nice card, but when i looked on the 2013 Update Parallel Checklist for Sapphire Foil it only lists cards #US1 - US330. Reading another forum response about Cardboard Connection i looked the set up and found out that Topps did indeed issue the Sapphire Foil parallels in the Update packs, but besides just the Update cards they also included cards from Series 1 and 2 so that means there are 990 cards in the Sapphire Foil set, 1-660 and US1-US330. So long winded preamble to my question is can someone update the checklist here to include those first 660 cards? I made a parallel set checklist from scratch yesterday, but i would hate to screw up editing an existing checklist.
The other question is should there be somekind of linkage back to the base cards because if you dont pull it from an update pack you would never know to look for a parallel set in the Updates with card numbers from the base set???
Thanks
