1982 Topps E.T. The Extraterrestrial Non-Sport Forum

Starting in the early 1970's, Topps added asterisks to their cards and stickers so they would know which side of the the full 264 card/sticker print sheet they were from for quality purposes. Single asterisks were usually on Side A, the left half sheet (132 cards/stickers), and double asterisks were usually on Side B, the right half sheet. This was the case for most any set that was 66 cards or less. With some sets of 88 or more cards, one half of the set was only printed on Side A so only have a single asterisk, and the other half only on Side B so only have two asterisks.
