1. I made a set of 1986 Drakes Box Panels, added a panel per, added correct names to each panel.
2. Wasn't sure about PIDs, never did it, so I just did Panel A. Think it looks OK.
3. Did I miss anything?

Without seeing the panels themselves, it's hard to know exactly how I'd list them. If the panels are labeled "A", "B", etc., I'd probably put that letter in the card number column. If not, the way you have it is probably right. I would likely also leave off the individual card numbers and go with (for example) "Panel A - Gary Carter / Dwight Evans". Maybe even leave off the "Panel A" altogether and go with "NNO Gary Carter / Dwight Evans"
As far as PIDs, I've gone through and added the individual teams for all of the players and linked to the proper PIDs and TIDs (all of these players already have PIDs in the system since they're well known players).
These are just my opinions, and I'm far from the decision maker here. For those interested in seeing what we're talking about, here's a link to the set: https://www.tradingcarddb.com/Checklist.cfm/sid/191572/1986-Drake's-Big-Hitters---Box-Panels?PageIndex=1#12103619

Yes, it looks great. Especially with the teams entered. Now, Did you have to individually add PIDS and TIDS or did the site automatically picked that up?
Wasn't sure how to list, but my thinking: All cards are in the set, the panels are a special addition. So by keeping the actual card numbers / associated with panels, it would make it easier to follow. I guess??
Thanks for your ideas, ~BOB~

The card numbers are not NNO. They are the numbers on the back of the cards. They should be 1-2, 3-4, etc. And the name field should be just the players names. I fixed the first one.

Someday my cards may double in value and then be worth half of what I paid for them.

Yes, Chuck fixed the first one, and that's the only one that is currently formatted correctly.
Please fix this set, don't make someone else have to fix it for you - that's not fair to those who can fix it. If you cannot, let me know so we can just delete it so you can add it correctly from the beginning.
In that regard, I ask people not to add any collection info until the set is formatted correctly.

Always the same stuff. If there is no direction on formatting these correctly, then how do you add it? And I didn't ask any help, when I asked in a previous post about box bottoms, nobody said "format it this way.". No wonder I don't have any points, everything I try to do comes with issues. I'm not deleting anything, it took way too long to enter this. It will be corrected.

Obviously, I can't do it because, I can't change the number, NNO or whatever. Have to delete it. Probably best to just enter sets, no CLs or anything else etc including scans.....seroiusly wasting my time. I'll note what needs to be done and return when things are clearly explained. Formatting Box Bottoms and Panels.

Bob....some friendly advice.
Take it slow especially when dealing with uncommon issues.
- Try to find some similar examples in the database. If you can't find an example on TCDB, find an example on another site.
- Review the site rules (FAQs) and search the forums for any applicable guidance.
- Develop a plan (how to number, how to name, how to handle ERR & VAR, etc.) BEFORE attempting to upload a checklist.
- Communicate your intentions to the TCDB community and seek input.
- If you get stuck send a trusted member a PM and ask their advice.
I'm currently working on editing the sets associated with the 1991 Topps Desert Storm set. It took me about 5 days to develop a plan, communicate with others members and communicate my intentions in the forums. I did all that before doing anything in the database and that set is pretty standard.
Plus...be patient. There is a learning curve to doing quality work. Many members, even experienced ones, make mistakes.
I can tell when someone rushes a checklist or just adds a set only to catalog their own cards. That kind of work usually means that someone else will have to go behind them and clean the mess. It's twice as time consuming to fix bad work than to do it right the first time.

Good advice Chad, thank you. There is also a way of dealing with members seeking advice. So meanwhile, I loaded 1987 Drakes and probably made a mistake as I see ## preceding the number. I can't correct it. Oh well.
BTW, TY for the Donruss All-Stars, greatly appreciated.

https://www.tradingcarddb.com/FAQ.cfm?ITEM=Notes#2
Even though most of this document covers the formatting in the Note and Note2 fields, it does cover how to handle items (stickers are used as the examples) of when multiple numbers are on one item.
- If the numbers are consecutive, such as the 3-card Star Company panel sets, 1-3, 4-6, 7-9, etc. is used
- If the numbers are not consectutive, like the stickers, 1 / 67, 2 / 156, 3 / 73, etc. is used.
This is discussed in this document (that took 4 members 2 months to create, and they continue to maintain it).
I would strongly suggest reading this, and after that reach out to others who either submit checklists on a regular basis or who fix checklists on a regular basis to get guidance.
I was going to remove the checklist, but Chuck was a good guy and spent his time fixing up the checklist.
