I'm not familiar with how the Mothers Cookie cards were distributed. While searching on eBay I'm seeing reference to a stadium giveaway and the cards have different photos that what we have here and I'm not finding a parallel or variation on these cards. Can anyone provide some information on these sets?

I always thought they were disstributed through the Mother's products predominately on the West Coast.

Ken Griffey Jr. had a separate 4-card set. Initially given away at a stadium card show and then distributed in the boxes of cookies.
PSA 1989 Mother's Cookies Ken Griffey Jr. I don't see the set on the database.
I got all my Mother's Cookies cards in boxes of cookies when I was stationed in Nebraska.

Someday my cards may double in value and then be worth half of what I paid for them.

We would go to the Oakland A's games for those cards. They would give you a pack of cards containing 24 of 28 cards. There was a send off card inserted in those that you could redeem for 4 more cards (these were random so it would not always complete your set). There was also a insert that you could purchase a little folder/book with empty slots to fill in your set. Otherwise you were supposed to trade with other people to complete your set. The inddividual player sets were either in Mother's Cookies products or you could get the information from an advertisement.

Interesting. Thanks for the replies. Should the stadium giveaway cards be a parallel of the base set, or if only certain cards are different, would they need to be added as a variation?

My take is that since they were not technically inserts into the base cards that were given away at the stadium, I would leave them seperate.

There were no "base sets" with Mother's Cookies (or the Keebler follow-on sets).
