1986 O-Pee-Chee Baseball Forum

 I was just going through my 1986 OPC cards.   Can anyone who has them tell me if their cards are dinged up as bad as mine?   These went straight from pack to this box and I remember thinking how crappy they were.   Was it just my luck or was it low quality across the board for that year OPC?

I have OPC baseball from 1977 through to 1989, and hockey from 84-85 through the early 90s. As dobbie said, they had lots of issues. I can only imagine how their dull cutting blades would mangle the black upper border on the 1986 cards.

Centering issues were a problem for topps for a while.  I've found some cards in lots I've purchased that were cut about a 25 degree angle off of the straight edge it was meant to have.

OPC almost always had a problem with rough edges, like the cutters they used always had very dull blades or something.  The black borders of the 1986 set just makes that problem even more evident.
