1988 Pacific Legends I Baseball Forum

This card is identical to the card posted/displayed in the captioned set with the exception being the coloring on the back.

I don't know if this is a variation/error or if there is a complete set with this coloring pattern on the back.

When I think of Jim Bouton of course I think about his book Ball Four. Very insightful and funny book. But when I see this card, he looks like a wide-eyed kid. Sorry this doesn't help with your question.

Hard to tell from your image as it is slightly washed out on the front as well, but is the back gray where the yellow normally is? for easier comparison purposes, here are TCDb's images for the base card:

Currently, I have no explanation for this one.

This card is a printing error, the back lacks the black and yellow inks. When we first started to print this set we ran a sheets to use to test our cutting machine. Our printing proof from this set were blank on the back. I have a couple blank proofs.
