As a huge Cowboy fan and collector, I find the values of the Cowboy cards are not in-line with the product on the field. Why are the cards priced so much higher for individual players given they have not won the Super Bowl since 1995 and they have only won a few playoff games in the last 20 years? I hope their values come down with the product on the field. There are just as many Steeler, 49er and Packer collectors as Cowboy collectors and their "star" player cards have lower values then the Cowboy "star" players...

all of "todays" cards are over priced.. If your looking at the TCDB prices? your "foolish" lol lol . Packer cards around here in Green Bay on Face book are a joke.. Junk wax is a "gold mine" people are thinking.. Just keep looking in the right areas and you may find a "Deal". I just found 5000 cards all packer cards covering 70's to current and not full of 80's 90's for $65 (and a few traded cards) plus postage from Minneapolis. And hopefully recruited a new TCDB member in the future.. Good luck and your best finds are here on this site, i think.

On field performance and card value will not equate for some teams. Some teams have a premium attached to them, regardless of player, because of the fan base. The Cowboys are one of them. Think Yankees, Red Sox and Lakers as examples. 

It has been told since the 70s that the Cowboys are Americas team that could be a simple reason. Their are cowboys fans in every state including Washington DC. 

I know prices are a lot higher today than they are a few years ago.

I feel the same way about my Cornhuskers.    Players like Sam Keller, Tanner Lee, Zac Talyor and others.  Some people have them priced higher than some semi stars and even some stars in a set.

When I was a kid, I was told   Just paint it red and a Husker fan will buy it.  They are almost everywhere too.

I have no problem selling cheap.   I just get frustrated at times when I have to pay more for lesser players.   That just means I have to sell more to get less.

For the same reasons why New York Yankees and Montreal Canadiens cards are often overpriced.
