The 1991-1999 Jackson Generals were in Jackson, MS. The 2011-present Jackson Generals are in Jackson, TN. Should they have seperate lists, or should they be in the same list?

I think there should be two different PIDs. The two teams had different major league affiliations as well.

The major league affiliation is irrelevant. Teams switch affiliations without changing names.

It's sort of a Washington Senators situation. They are not the same team, they just happen to have the same name. The Mississippi team was moved to Texas and became the Corpus Christi Hooks. The team in Tennessee was originally the old Memphis Chicks team that moved to Jackson and became the West Tennessee Diamond Jaxx that was just renamed in 2011.

One of those database issues that needs work; teams with the same names that have ABSOLUTELY no connection other than the name. Some have been separated, the NFL and AFL Dallas Texans comes to mind. But most have not, the multiple Washington Senators and Baltimore Orioles teams come to mind.

The difference between this situation and the Senators/Texans examples is the cities involved. Those examples are same city, same mascot. This is diferent cities. Which is why I ask. Another example would be the Burlington Bees. There was one in Burlington, NC and one in Burlington, IA.
