Great list. Can't think of anyone you've left out. Keeps making me think of greats who did switch teams at some point, from Lou Brock to David Ortiz.

No love for Walter Johnson (Wash. Senators)?

Oh, lol, never mind. First one on the list.  The picture threw me off. 8O)

Nope, can't think of anyone else either.

Check this one out. Christy Mathewson missed the list by one game.  Played for the Giants all that time, and then at the end plays one game, ONE, for the Reds.  LOL, are you kidding me?

It is fun trying to see if I can think of anyone you may have missed, but you are very thorough.  This is a fun awesome list!

Thanks for checking out the list guys.  There are quite a few all-time greats that came close to finishing their career with one team, but decided to stick it out one or two seasons elsewhere.  With Mathewson it's a tough call, he did pitch one measly game with the Reds, but he basically went right into managing that team....so I may add him.  It's technically bending the rules...but I might.  Also, this is a list that only includes the majors, even though some players may have come up with a different organization while in the minors.  Any recommendations are welcome.

One suggestion to make it easier to look through/search your list.  Alphabetize by last name.

Saw two Hall of Famers missing:

HOFer Bid McPhee, 18 seasons Cincinnati Reds

HOFer Ross "Pep" Youngs, 10 seasons New York Giants

Not sure what you consider an "all-time great", but did you give consideration to these players?

Gene Alley, Dave Concepcion, Jim Gilliam, Ron Guidry, Kent Hrbek, Vern Law, Pepper Martin, Tony Oliva, Jorge Posada, Mel Stottlemyre, Roy White

My opinion on Christy Mathewson, no pass. He was traded to the Reds and was a player-manager for three seasons with the Reds. This was back when player-managers was very common.  He put himself into only one game to pitch, but technically was always available to play.

C2Cigars, thanks for the suggestions.  I've added the hall of fame players, and also alphabatized the players by their last names.  Regarding my choices for "all-time greats", means that I've comprised this list almost completely with hall of fame players.  I'll definitely take your other recommendations into consideration however, as some of those players may be in their personal team hall of fame, or had their numbers retired.  Thanks for checking out the list.

I'll suggest one of my favorite players while I was growing up, Frank White. 18 seasons with the Royals. 5 All-Star game appearances, 1 Silver Slugger and 8 Gold Gloves. 1980 AL ALCS MVP. In the Royals Hall of Fame and his number, 20 has been retired by Kansas City.

kcjays, White is a great suggestion, he's been added.  Thanks for checking out the list.

Great list.  What about Eddie Gaedel?  He never made an out!
