by yokonashiwa - 26 cards (Last updated on Dec 5, 2014)

1. 1993 SkyBox Marvel Universe #95 Captain America

Got to have the greatest leader ever for my team.

2. 1992 Impel Marvel Universe #25 Ghost Rider

All time favorite character. He had to be here.

3. 1993 SkyBox Marvel Universe #11 Silver Surfer

Easily one of the more powerful characters in the Marvel Universe. Also, another personal favorite.

4. 1991 TSR Advanced Dungeons & Dragons - Silver #9 Raistlin Majere

Raistlin Majere is by no means a superhero, but I would add him any way just because he is an awesome character. If you like books about magic, dragons, and swords, you should read the Dragonlance Chronicles by Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman.

5. 1991 Impel Marvel Universe II #28 Iron Fist

Top notch martial artist and has the power to use the Iron Fist. Danny Rand is a must for any team. Not to mention the millions of dollars his company is worth.

6. 1993 SkyBox Marvel Universe #91 Black Knight

His magical sword and ebony armor make him a foe to deal with.

7. 1992 Comic Images Shadow Hawk #2 Anithero

A more violent Batman who is actually infected with AIDS and eventually dies. The helmet is infused with the Spirit of Justice and thus finds a new host to take on the role.

8. 1992 Comic Images Unity: Time Is Not Absolute #84 X-O the Conqueror

X-O Manowar is a Visigoth who is captured by aliens and while upon their ship, he finds the Manowar battle suit. Donning it, he forms a perfect bond and goes about destroying the aliens. Back on Earth, he finds that he has traveled into present day and beings life as a superhero.

9. 1993 SkyBox Marvel Universe #46 Dr. Strange

Former surgeon turn superhero after a car crash ruined his hands preventing him from being able to use them for surgery. Looking for a cure, he turns to magic and eventually becomes the Sorcerer Supreme.

10. 1992 Impel DC Cosmic #37 Blue Devil

Blue Devil was a stuntman who put on the costume for a movie. Mistaken as an enemy by a demon, the costume is fused to his body during the fight and as a side effect of being exposed to the demon's powers, he is given powers as well. He wields the Trident of Lucifer which allows him to banish demons from Earth.

Captain Marvel is not immature, he has the wisdom of Solomon. My all time favorite super hero, as well. :) If you have not read the 1940s books, you should...I guarantee you'd enjoy them. They were so well done and so popular that they not only outsold Superman (!) they were published weekly all throughout WWII...the only weekly comic series to be successful for more than a year.

Unfortunately Billy, I am going with the way they portray Captain Marvel today. The show him as immature and needing guidance because of the fact that he is a teenager in an adult body. I will see if I can find any of the 1940s books in graphic novel forms. I read about how DC bought Captain Marvel simply because he outsold Superman and then they took the writers and artists from the Captain Marvel books and put them on Supes to help his popularity and increase sales. I really like Captain Marvel more than Superman.

I've heard of almost none of these characters. I would have assumed Captain Marvel was a Marvel character. Shows how little I know about comic books.

Great list! I love the addition of Moon Knight and Multiple Man-two underappreciated characters.

Thank you. I loved putting this list together. Moon Knight has been a personal favorite of mine since I got my first comic. He was part of the West Coast Avengers at the time and a character I just had to learn more about. I really hope they actually do put him on a Netflix series as long as they do him the justice he deserves. As for Multiple Man, he would be the ultimate spy. I really wish they would give him his own series even if they reboot him and have him not apart of the X-Men. I have always imagined a story line where as a teenager, he sent clones off with instructions to master various forms of martial arts, get degrees in multiple scientific and tech fields, and learn different battle strategies and other useful skills such as hacking, piloting, and the likes. He would be the ultimate character after absorbing those clones back into himself and learning what they knew. I would love to write the book. The ideas swarming in my head has me tempted to do a fan fiction story.
