New People Added to my collection in 2015

by Billy Kingsley - 168 cards (Last updated on Dec 31, 2015)

11. 1995 Maxx #187 Charles Hardy

Charles Hardy was the silent partner on Bill Elliott's Cup team at the start, but eventually - I no longer remember when- Elliott went it alone. Hardy passed away a few years ago, if I recall correctly.

12. 2012 Press Pass - Snapshots #SS 63 Monica Palumbo

I was happy to see Press Pass include the Miss Sprint Cups in sets...I was not lucky enough to pull any of the cards, so I went to Ebay to get this one.

13. 2006-07 UD Black - Patches Autographs 10 #AP-PD Paul Davis

This card also appears on my New Sets of 2015 chart. The scan does not do it justice. The funky looking foil is gold holofoil. This is my 3rd card autographed in gold ink, and first from the NBA.

14. 1991 Track Pack Yesterday's Heroes #33 Jim Roper

Winner of the first race in what is now the Cup series, Roper only ever had one card issued- and it's hideous. This has to be the worst card design in history.

15. 2014-15 Panini Prizm #299 Damien Inglis

Inglis missed his entire rookie season due to injury.

16. 2014-15 Panini Prizm #289 Erick Green

This card came out of the same pack as the Inglis card above.

17. 2011 Press Pass Fanfare - FanFare Autographs Silver #FA-EM Eric McClure

I pulled this one from one of Dave & Adam's Hit Parade packs. Eric McClure is the son of the owner of Morgan-McClure Motorsports, which was my favorite team when I discovered the sport. Eric has never found a lot of racing success, known mostly for several spectacular crashes, all of which were "Wrong Place, Wrong Time", several of which left him injured enough to miss races.

18. 1973-74 Topps #152 Jim McDaniels

I discovered a great new vintage dealer, and I got all these cards from him. I more than doubled my 1973-74 Topps collection, and I managed to add all 8 One Hit Wonders (People who only ever got one card) in the same day.

19. 1973-74 Topps #11 Bob Christian

I discovered a great new vintage dealer, and I got all these cards from him. I more than doubled my 1973-74 Topps collection, and I managed to add all 8 One Hit Wonders (People who only ever got one card) in the same day.

As it turned out, Bob Christian was the 2500th different person in my NBA collection. I got the card in March, and didn't realize I had so badly miscounted until August 1st!

20. 1973-74 Topps #36 Fred Hilton

I discovered a great new vintage dealer, and I got all these cards from him. I more than doubled my 1973-74 Topps collection, and I managed to add all 8 One Hit Wonders (People who only ever got one card) in the same day.
