Great Hoops Action!

1. 1981-82 Topps #29 Darryl Dawkins

Raw power. Is Dawkins dunking or rebounding in this forest of arms? Note announcer/coach Doug Collins in the mix as well.

2. 1973-74 Topps #105 Willis Reed

Great image. Reed looks like he thought he was going to get an easy rebound falling from the sky, when his opponent (Wes Unseld?) swoops in to grab it first.

3. 1981-82 Topps #21 Magic Johnson

Magic being Magic. Will he shoot? Dish off to a teammate? Only Magic knows.

4. 1981-82 Topps #E85 DeWayne Scales

Thunderous dunk, over a defender who got there just a second too late.

5. 1973-74 Topps #35 Mike Riordan

Gotta love those unis in the 1970's!

6. 1981-82 Topps #E98 Rick Mahorn

Mahorn fighting for an offensive rebound, perhaps tipping it toward Hayes for an esy bucket?

7. 1981-82 Topps #E108 Robert Parish

Parish executing a pick and roll to perfection. The Chief towers over the smaller defender, a step out of position to guard the Celtic breaking towards the basket for an easy bucket.

8. 1986-87 Fleer #120 Spud Webb

5' 6". And dunking. A lot. Enough said.

9. 1986-87 Fleer #94 Tree Rollins

"Tree" making the offensive player earn his two points. I'm guessing there was a free throw attempt after this play.

10. 1973-74 Topps #15 Archie Clark

Clark has nowhere to go, trapped under the basket on the baseline. The defender has him played perfectly, shielding the rim and backboard, giving Clark few choices on what to do.
