I am looking to trade alot of my cards for older stuff.  I need to condense my collection because I am running out of room.  I am at the point right now where I want to start setting my grand kids up with an older collection.  I would like to see these cards go to a good home and/or to help fill some sets.  I am easy to deal with and willing to negotiate.  I will be adding more cards when I get a chance.

If you are concerned about the condition of the cards (ie...corners, centering, etc...), I have no problem scanning the card and sending you a picture before you agree to the trade.

Long-time collector whose first pack of baseball cards (1976 Topps baseball) ignited a love of cardboard. At times I’ve collected complete sets, as well as players-  but the primary focus of my collection these days is Milwaukee/Atlanta Braves Topps Team Sets.

I enjoy trading with others on this site but ask that the following conditions be met in any deal:

  • Post-1980 cards need to be Near Mint-Mint (NRMT-MT) -with centering no worse than 60/40, original color borders and gloss, and no more than one corner showing a slight touch of wear. I’ve had too many modern cards sent to me with multiple corners damaged. I’m not interested in your junk.
  • Please don’t request Short-printed or SP Variations without offering a comparable card or “package” of cards. Four common base cards for a SP that would cost you anywhere from $4-$16 to buy doesn’t work. Please don’t waste your time.
  • Please make sure you apply proper postage. Sometimes PWEs come 44 cents or whatever postage due, I get it- the USPS is getting pickier when it comes to “rigid” envelopes. But if you’re sending three dozen cards, ship it in a bubble mailer or over multiple PWEs. If you’re sending a stack of 8 cards and it’s over 1/4” thick, make sure you’re not just putting a couple of stamps on it. I’ve had to make too many trips to the Post Office to pay $3 and change postage due. And if you receive a postage due envelope from me, please let me know so I can correct any wrongdoing on my part.

Failure on these three conditions will result in Negative Feedback. I hate coming across as a jerk, but I’m even more tired of giving away good cards for stuff that end up in the garbage and out-of-the-way trips to the Post Office that I shouldn’t have to make. Your understanding is appreciated.

PLEASE READ BEFORE SENDING A TRADE OFFER:

>>> I DO NOT BUY OR SELL ON TCDB. I ONLY TRADE, AND I WILL NOT TRADE ANYTHING OUT OF MY PC. <<<

I will gladly trade PWE worldwide with almost anyone. I will only mail about 18-21 cards per #10 envelope domestically (with a few exceptions), and 12-18 cards per #10 envelope internationally. I've found that sending about 12 cards per envelope is ideal for international trades. For large amounts of cards (>36) with U.S. traders, I can do either PWE or bubble mailer, as long as both parties agree on the method of shipping.

PRIMARY OBJECTIVES: I want to complete special issue and insert baseball and hockey sets that I've been working on, and to work on my PCs of Jerome Bettis, Martin Brodeur, Ilya Kovalchuk, Bernie Williams, Vladimir Guerrero, and Garrett Anderson.

SPECIAL PROJECTS: An Alec Mills collection (he played for my high school and he helped coach my son some one season); a collection of players from the four major American sports with the last name Davidson and its variations; a collection of baseball, basketball, and football RCs of former Southern Illinois Salukis. I am always wanting RCs of former Tennessee Volunteers football players, whether in a Vols uniform or a pro uniform.

12/4/2023 - Updated my PC lists, so there will be a mass of Jackie Robinson, Roberto Clemente & Corbin Burnes cards available for sale/trade here soon.  As I mention below, my want list is quite narrow, so I am more than willing to sell cards if we don't match up for a trade.

Came across tcdb.com towards the end of 2019, and I have now completed over 1,500 transactions, with over 23,000 cards changing hands!  Love everything about this site.  I have met so many cool people from all over the Country, and even a few from Canada and beyond. (Just completed a trade to Finland, as a matter of fact).

Stole this from another member, but......my goal is to have zero cards in my For Sale/Trade List.  So keep the proposals comin'!

(I know my Want List is relatively small, so I am certainly willing to Sell cards if we don't have enough matches to work out a trade)

My PC list is as follows (with TCDB rankings as of 2/9/2024):

NBA: Giannis (4), Dirk Nowitzki (4), and Tim Duncan (2).

NFL: Sterling Sharpe (3), and Don Majkowski (2)

MLB: Robin Yount (7), Tony Gwynn (6), Hal Morris (3), Mark Grace (7), Pat Listach (1) and Mark Langston (1)

Golf: Rickie Fowler (2)  & Joel Dahmen (2)

WWE: Lita (3)

UFC: Conor McGregor (4)

Non-Sport: Eddie Vedder, Judah Friedlander, Big Jay Oakerson, The Brothers Osborne (TJ & John), Rob Riggle, Bert Kreischer, Tom Segura, Charlie Berens, Post Malone and Brody Stevens

Although I currently live in Florida, I was born in Milwaukee.....hence my obsession with Wisconsin sports teams.  Ha.

Please check out my For Sale/Trade list, and feel free to message me or send me trade proposals any time.....let's see what we can get done!  (I don't necessarily trade based on "book value", but rather the value to me, so please feel free to counter if I propose a trade that you feel is unfair.  I also have no rules about "insert for insert" or any of that nonsense, so don't be shy to shoot me a proposal)

My profile picture is me with my favorite player Manny Sanguillen in the summer of 2023.

My Collecting History

My first pack of cards was in 1971.  My mom bought me the pack of cards from Bullman's Market in Mt. Chestnut, I remember that.  But I was only 5, so the collecting bug didn't take hold.  It wasn't until I was 11 in the summer of 1977 when I started collecting baseball cards.  I would buy all the 15 cent packs of baseball cards I could with my allowance money and the money I made from my paper route. Later that summer my grandmother had given me a bag full of hundreds of older baseball cards she had collected.  I didn't know many of the players names at the time, but thought they were cool.  Turns out they were mostly 1960 Topps baseball with a bunch of 1959 and 1961 Topps baseball.  In the summer of 1979 my father took me and my friends to a flea market in North Park, I think it was called Wildwood Flea Market.  It was the first time I saw a dealer that sold baseball cards.  I remember buying a Mint condition 1960 Yogi Berra for $5.00, I am sure there were others, but the Berra is the one I remember.  (I may add more to this in the future, but that is enough for now.)

What I Collect

Mostly vintage baseball.  Vintage being 1980 and before.  After 1980 just cards that I really like or have a special meaning to me.  My favorite sets are 1954, 1956 and 1960 Topps Baseball, also 1949 and 1953 Bowman Baseball.

I want to thank everyone on TCDB for being so awesome and for your support with sales over the past year. The funds from selling a few cards have helped us out.

After a 20+ year break in collecting, I’m back baby!!! Been on TCDB for a few weeks now and I absolutely love it! Thank you to everyone who has been so helpful to me here. I really appreciate all the bonus cards too! My son (almost 2 years old) has been practicing the letters of the alphabet with those 1984 Topps!

I grew up in Key West, FL so I am a huge Miami Marlins fan (maybe that’s why I love to trade away my superstars.)  Pretty much everything in my collection is available for trade except my Topps Marlins cards. Not interested in any unlicensed cards. Be sure to check out my collection on Instagram @mrmalakacards !!!

For me, VG (1950-79) would be the bare minimum for my collection projects but will trade for cards that have ink or creases so long as the front of the card has good eye appeal and the image is in full registration (not blurry from printing). If there are card issues, please let me know in the trade prop.

I try to keep my FS/T list accurate incl. Donruss, Fleer, Upper Deck etc. (dots, asterisks, etc.) If that's important to you, just ask me to verify the variation. For cards vintage cards I have listed 1950s-1970s I have made an effort to note the condition as best as I can. I am not a professional grader but if there are defects, I will note.

I like big trades, and I like small trades, even if it's not worth the postage. For me, it's all about completing the team or set or whatever. It's still better than buying a 50 cent card on eBay for $1+s/h.

Cards 1-20 I will ship PWE, over that I will ship BMWT and will message you the tracking info. Trading to any 50 states and Canada.

Hi there, I'm Dustin. A Seattle Mariners fan (dogs named Griffey and Felix), I collect 1) George Kirby, 2) Kyle Seager, and of course Griffey, Randy Johnson, Edgar, Ichiro, Felix, and Julio. My goal is to be a top 10 TCDb collector of both Kirby and Seager by the end of 2024. Also hoping to begin collecting Gonzaga Bulldogs basketball alum, especially in a Zags uniform.

Primarily into baseball cards and trading (bought too many cards recently, pausing most purchases for the time being). I like collecting complete sets.

I moved into a new house in October and currently have only unpacked the cards listed here. Over time, I plan to start adding my 30k+ collection to this site (mostly 1987-2002 – I know, I know). Archiving stuff is actually a part of my day job, so I look forward to taking my education and training and putting it to use to better my adolescent collection.

Thanks for reading my profile. I enjoy trading cards I don't need for those that I do. I've been in this hobby for many years (I remember opening 1955 Bowman packs at our local candy store)! I usually don't pull my end before making a proposal; most times, I'm trying to get a feel for how doable it is, and it saves me from having to refile cards if things fizzle out or if I'm countered.  I will, however, (usually) pull before accepting a trade.  Please counter, if need be!  Communication is key to good trading!   I have some physical limitations..it may take me a bit to pull cards so your patience is appreciated!

1.  My top priority is completing sets.

2.  Recent Phillies teamsets and inserts.  I do multiple teamsets to help local Philthies Phans!

3. Older Phillies teamset needs..all brands.

As mentioned, I love to trade, will reluctantly sell ... cheap, if we cannot swap!  PLMK what I have that you can't live without!  Phillies is my team, through thick and (mostly) thin!  PWE trades are great and assumed unless we agree otherwise - bubbles used if worth the shipping costs!  Slowing down though - the old body won't let me hoss those 5000 count boxes too much - thanks in advance for your patience with me!!

Hey all! Like a lot of guys, I was a collector in the early 90s, stepped away for a while and then came back in 2018 (and even harder in 2020 during the pandemic) to rediscover my love for this hobby.

I'm a set builder through and through; with the exception of Barry Sanders, I don't PC any particular players, and I don't care about inserts, parallels, parallels to inserts, autos, relics, etc. That stuff is ruining the hobby. I trade those as soon as I get them. The base set is king, always has been. I'm not an investor, just a collector having fun, and a set builder who doesn't chase the current hot rookie year after year.

As for trades: I check this site daily, respond quickly to offers and ship quickly. I think it's reasonable, on a site dedicated to trading, that others will do the same, so if you log on and don't bother to check your trade offers within a couple days, I'll move on. Communication is so easy and quick on here, so if you need more time, that's fine. Just talk to me and we'll work it out. I've done 1300+ trades and still have a 100% rating because I care. PWE is preferred on both sides.

Sets: I'm a Topps guy who recently finished building out all the base sets from 1982-2024. Someday I'd like to complete all the Update and Chrome sets that exist as well, but due to the price of some of the rookies, that will never happen. I do the occasional football set too in between baseball releases.

Look forward to working with you all of you and having fun in this hobby!
