This card was commissioned by Ernie Irvan in 1995 and distributed through his fan club. It was sent out as a thank you to fans who had sent gifts, cards, and well-wishes during his recovery from his near-fatal crash at Michigan Speedway. Many cards were distributed already autographed by Ernie. The Autographed version, although not technically a Certified Autograph, is listed in its own parallel set entry.
