- Following renovations at their home stadium, Sahlen Field, in Buffalo and later the parent club, the Toronto Blue Jays, utilizing the stadium for home games with U.S.-Canada border crossings restricted due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Buffalo Bisons temporally relocated to Trenton, New Jersey's Trenton Thunder Ballpark and assumed the moniker of the Trenton Thunder (a club that was previously affiliated with Major league baseball until 2020).
