These postcards feature borderless, color, posed photos of players in their white uniforms seated in front of a red studio background (Ruel is shown against a blue background). Some postcards are the same photo as 1978-79 but have a lighter red background and may have a different autograph location. A facsimile autograph in black appears in a white bottom border of each card. All backs are blank and there are no credit lines present. Bernie Geoffrion's card was not distributed after he resigned as coach on December 12, 1980. Richard Sevigny's card received limited distribution because of late issue.
