They were actually part of a "travel set" that includes a mini board, three game pieces and dice. Agree that Red and Blue were separate sets. Would be nice if they were listed in the database as such (like the Yellow set, which was also released at the same time)

1988 Classic is a 100-card set, released in two separate 50-card series. Unlike the original Classic game, the two '88 Classic sets (known as the "Red" and "Blue" sets) were sold without the game. The card backs contain several trivia questions (and answers) which are used to play the game. The set is sequentially-numbered as an extension of the 1987 Classic set.

The games were produced by Game Time, Ltd. and were available in toy stores as well as from card dealers.
