Doug's RBI single in the bottom of the second inning gave the Mets a 2-0 lead on opening day 1978. The Mets went on to win the game against the Montreal Expos 3-1. On 5/23/78, Doug hit a triple in the third inning, singled in the fourth, singled in the seventh, doubled in the eighth, but struck out in the 9th to end his bid for a 5 hit game. |

This is Eddy's only MLB card. Eddy's pinch single came with 2 outs in the bottom of the 5th inning off of Jon Matlack with the Cubs trailing the Mets 9-0, they would go on to lose the game 11-0. Eddy got a hit in his first three games in which he had a plate appearance, not in his first three big league at-bats. |

Bucky's dramatic home run came in the top of the seventh inning with two outs, runners on first and second, and trailing 2-0. The home run was hit off of starting pitcher Mike Torrez. In the 1978 World Series, Bucky hit .417, going 10 for 24, with a double, 3 runs scored and 7 RBIs. |

His first pinch grand slam came on May 28 off of Don Sutton, helping his Giants defeat the Dodgers 6-5. His second slam came in game one on June 30 off of Dave Campbell of the Braves, but the Giants lost the game 10-9. |

He followed that with a 2-1 complete game win on May 3 in Baltimore and then a 4-3 win on May 10 in Milwaukee. |
