Year: 2004

Set: Upper Deck MLS (Rate)

Card: #10 John Spencer

“ Interesting to see this design used on the main UD set for this sport. It's very similar to the inserts in 2003-04 Finite for the NBA. At least, that's the first thing I thought when I saw it...especially the back of the card. ” -Billy Kingsley

“ This used to be my favorate UD soocer set, but over the years I've liked it less and less. The back is awfull. It would be better if they just put the info in a streight line. ” -deporcoruña

“ The current Rapids kits are so much better than these ones. ” -jlaz10

“ Nice front of card, not nice back of card. Not a collector of soccer (futbol) cards. ” -NJDevils

“ The design that happens to go between his feet makes it look really weird ” -Hollywood42

“ The motion of the photo is going the opposite way from the design, making a confusing combination. Also, his left foot sinks into the background due to bad photoshopping. I'll pass on this set, I think. ” -Luckynumber78

“ Well, you don't see many soccer cards as cotd lately, (football, for our European members) Upper deck really does have their hands in everything. Great design and an excellent action shot. I wouldn't be upset to find this set in my collection. Very appealing. ” -Dixxy

“ Not my favorite Upper Deck offering for MLS cards, kind of a boring design. Anyway, after leaving England and Scotland John Spencer had a decent run with Colorado Rapids. He has since been inducted into the Rapids Gallery of Honor. ” -Gunny
