Random Card of the Day

“ The last Skybox NBA set. Somehow, it's eluded me, I have no cards in my collection from this set. I don't really like the design all that much, but at least there is a photo background, not some computer generated thing like the early Skybox releases. Sadly, there are no cards of him under his former name Panda Friend, which he used while in China. He legally changed his name to Metta World Peace several years ago..which led to many jokes when he was cut for salary reasons twice in the last few years. ("Lakers cut World Peace for money"). Interestingly, he is one of only two people to wear three different numbers, all in the 90s. 91, 93 and 96 have only been worn by two people in NBA history each. He is the only one to get cards wearing #96. ” -Billy Kingsley

“ I can't point to anything I don't like about this card. Odd though, that despite not seeking many basketball cards, the back design just screams circa-2008. Does it remind me of some Upper Deck baseball product?? ” -dilemma19

“ Nice card hard to read the foil printing but then it is the post-junk years. This design (minus the foil lettering) is good for HOF or retired player inserts. Only real complaint about the back is his jersey number is much bigger and a little easier to see than the actual card number. ” -captkirk42
