Year: 1993

Set: Classic Best Osceola Astros (Rate)

Card: #11 Kevin Gallaher

“ I like minor league cards. I don't know why but getting cards of players and looking up their stories is one of my favorite things to do. Such as Kevin here spent 8 years in the minors including several at AAA but never made it to the majors. Now he is a pitching coach in Florida. ” -davidhandberry

“ Pretty decent card by the classic brand. I would like the team name on the front, although not necessary with this photo. ” -parsley24

“ I enjoy guessing the era in which a card was printed by looking at design features, and this card screams early 90's. I don't remember the player, and based on his age and minor league stats I would be surprised if he reached the majors as anything but a scab during the labor disruption of 1994. ” -dilemma19

“ Nice card. Clean and well balanced design both front and back. ” -CollectingAfterDeath

“ Tired of Classic Games Minor League cards. This card looks good on front. No major complains (just minor ones LOL) Back looks OK I guess. Like the team logo as the "ghost" background. ” -captkirk42

“ One of the nicer MiLB sets I have seen. ” -muskie027

“ Trying to look like Nolan Ryan. ” -kirkscards

Has all the necessary elements, but not necessarily how I'd like them to look. I don't like the small caps on the typography. At best, it's not in the worst I've seen, but this card is kinda bland, even for an era that produced bland cards on the regular.

The design reminds me of the prospect cards from 1992 Upper Deck..

I'm with Mike67, looks like an Upper Deck design at first glance.
