Year: 1994-95

Set: Flair (Rate)

Card: #76 Nick Van Exel

“ Well a basketball player whose name I recognize. Not a bad card. Double pictures on a card front don't always work but does here. Neither picture is over powering the other. Unless the previous season was his first there is definite paucity of stats on the back. ” -John Kerry

“ For some reason I could never really warm up to the original Flair set. There's nothing inherently bad with it- it just doesn't resonate with me. The fact that most of them feel greasy to the touch probably never helped. Nick Van Exel is now an assistant coach in the NBA but I don't remember which team off the top of my head. I want to say Memphis. This was issued in his second year as a player. ” -Billy Kingsley

“ This is one of my favorite sets. Well the baseball version but it looks the same so.. You get not one but 3 different pictures. No border blocking it. I miss Flair it was like a shooting star beautiful for a brief moment then gone. ” -davidhandberry

“ At least I can read the card number. ” -jayoneill

“ Flair was one of the best sets of the mid 90's, loved the double photos on the front and the stats on the back didn't clutter the photo there as well. ” -rmitchell6700

“ Front way too busy with the two photos blended and I see my dreaded foil fonts on the front. Sigh. Not a good sign for me. Back ugh a photo as the background and very little in the way of stats, although looking at the totals line this seems to be a rookie card. ” -captkirk42

“ I liked this set a lot. Pretty expensive to buy the packs though. But very nice cards. ” -switzr1

“ Not sure I am a fan of double photos on the front, and it is freaky to see the full picture on the back. It is almost like I am not sure which side is the front. Neat concept and the photos and color are good, but something seems weird about it. Actually, if the front double pic was on the back and the back pic was on the front, it might be better! ” -muskie027

“ I like the layout, nice card. ” -Kirbythedodger

“ Great looking card with three photos. ” -parsley24

“ How did Fleer never strike up a contract with The Nature Boy for this WOOOO! LIMOUSINE RIDIN’ WOOOO!, JET FLYIN’ WOOO!, KISS STEALIN’ WOOO!, WHEELIN’ DEALIN’ WOOO! PRESTIGE SET BRAND! Not having Ric Flair cards aside, I liked fhe Flair concept, even if they were as upscale 90’s as you could get! ” -stevejrogers

Right you are Billy .. it is indeed Memphis. Enjoyed a so-so career with 6 teams, I believe averaging near 14 ppg. Nick was apparently the last Laker to have scored playing in the famous Boston Garden, hitting a winning 3-pointer.
