Year: 1972

Set: O-Pee-Chee CFL (Rate)

Card: #87 Gary Brandt

“ Green uniform, team name is one word so he must play for Saskatchewan rather than Ottawa. Only the CFL would have two teams with almost identical names.Use to see a lot of the cards from this set at pretty inexpensive prices. Even thought of building a set until I discovered the set contained Joe Theismann's first card. Pretty basic card but that's what you got back then. I rather like it. ” -John Kerry

“ Well now you don't see that every day!!! Bland as hell but he's a Roughrider!! Go Green ...... Grey Cup 2018???? I'm a praying!! Oh right the card, yup looks about right for a 70s card. Plain and to the point. =) ” -ranfordfan

“ Awesome and I anticipate a lot of great comments on this one. ” -muskie027

A plain-a** card from the 70's. I LIKE IT! I kinda wish some of the flash of today would go back to the plain of yesteryear. That card is exactly what you needed from a card back then. A border around the photo with the team name in it and then the player and position all on the front. The back is all about the player. If he wasn't a Center, there would be stats! I really miss cards like this.
