Card: #347 Hal Naragon
“ He was only 29 years old at the time of this photo! People looked older back then... ” -Billy Kingsley
“ Favorite pre-birth (1974) Topps baseball set ever. Love the double logo cap. This card is a definite winner! ” -switzr1
“ Beautiful! ” -muskie027
“ Until today it's probably been a couple years since the last time I submitted a "Card of the Day" comment. Oddly enough it turns out that me and good ol' Hal here share the same birthday, along with HOFer Rod Carew, deserving HOFer Mark McGwire and the terrifying Randy Quiad. ” -Id8jlb8666
“ Love the backs, complete stats, narrative and a cartoon. Good contrast and a readable number. No need for photo front and back ” -NJDevils
“ I think the photography on the 1957 set is really good for the era. Though I dislike the lettering. It is difficult to read. ” -kirkscards
“ Cool a real vintage card not the Heritage version of it. Nice all around card. The back is the way sports cards should be. Even the real cardboard card stock used is the way cards should be. Interesting cap logo. I hadn't recalled seeing Chief Wahoo with the Cleveland "C" before, yet that was their cap logo from 1954-57 and revived in 1962 for a season. The 62 version was similar but had the Chief's feather over the C, it is behind it here. Very interesting. ” -captkirk42
“ I love the old cartoons they put on the back of these cards. ” -DanD
“ Classic, simplistic card design that’s missing these days (for the most part). LONG LIVE CHIEF WAHOO!!! ” -beansballcardblog
“ never seen that stylized c used in an Indians logo before, the comics on back are always enjoyable ” -Thunderfoot
“ I've always liked this set. As a kid, 1957 Topps was one of the first "vintage" cards I ever purchased. ” -suomibear8
“ Awesome! ” -IfbBirdsCards
“ EPIC! ” -cjjt
“ This set has everything you could like about a set. Great photography, borders, team, position, name on front, large card numbers on the back, complete stats, write ups, and comics. Never heard of this guy however. ” -vrooomed
“ Vintage topps is vintage topps. You have to like it for it's age, not necessarily for how it looks. I love the back but the front is just pretty bland but that was and is topps to me. ” -davidhandberry
