“ OK racing card. ” -captkirk42

“ This isn't Bob's card, this is an homage to empty grandstands and sky. After looking at his stats, it kinda makes sense. ” -jackal726

“ Well... uh... Car, driver, track, decent stats ... Somebody enjoyed this set, I'm sure. ” -SFC Temple

“ Bob and all his adoring fans! Terrible design- lots of sky and empty seats & a small pic of Bob stuffed in the corner. ” -BigDaddy

“ Ahhh...racing cards. Since they have on helmets and face coverings and are packed into cars when they're actually participating in their sport, most of the cards look like this. No action shots, just guys and gals standing in front of cars. ZZZZZ. ” -hamrlik22

“ Nice picture of the empty seats. About time they got some hobby love. ” -Blargh

The sad/stupid tale behind the odd cropping in this set (I'll let you decide which). The photos were all taken by the proprietor of Racing Pictorial magazine, and he would block out any sponsors that didn't pay him to appear in his magazine. By the fact that most of the car is blocked off here I'm guessing Zecol Lubaid didn't pay him a dime. Also, the photo is not a NASCAR car. The sponsor on the roof leads me to believe it was USAC, although the cars were essentially interchangeable back then with the only difference being USAC ran full chrome while it was removed in NASCAR most of the time. Since it was cropped so much you can't tell here. Of course they were less strict with some things and may have allowed the sponsor on the roof in NASCAR as well, especially in the Daytona 500 qualifying races.

VERY slow trading due to health problems. Not transferrable so safe to trade with, just moving is painful and can't always access the cards.

He has two cards in the Database -- from a single 'photo session' that looks like Tuesday at the track.  Same photo, two years apart.

The Wiki sez:  "...he only managed to lead a single lap in his entire career" - how derring is that?!
