You will probably find more success if you enter what you have for sale/trade into your collection instead of blitzing the message board with multiple topics on what you have available. I see you only registered about a week ago but that tactic comes across as lazy and as someone who is looking to come onto the site quickly and try to dump your cards and be gone. That isn't against the rules but there are several members who won't bother to respond to that sort of tactic. Welcome to the site.

I did not know that would be the appearance. Apologies. I have decided to sell my personal collection and given myself about 10-12 years to do so. Is there a way to list years and brands because the collection is vast, literally one full room of my house. I am hoping to make small coin while helping others to complete sets, etc with some of the older cards I have. I stopped collecting around 1992 so there must be a want for some of this collection.
Thanks,
Chris W.

Your best way to move cards by way of trade or sell is to take the time to enter what you have for trade. It will take time. You say you are giving yourself 10-12 years to do so. That appears to be LOTS of time.
You also might want to check out "FAQ" at the bottom of every page under "General Info".
Welcome to the site and good luck.

If a large majority of what you have is unopened it may not take that long to enter everything. I don't have unopened stuff in my collection so maybe another member here can help you out if you struggle with entering your unopened items.

I would suggest that you try selling on your local facebook marketplace (for the unopened items) if you are willing to meet customers to sell
that would take postage cost out of the equation, but there is time investment and cost of gas

Thanks to all for the replies and help. Collection can be overwhelming and my enthusiasm can be overwhelming also. Here goes to list the stuff...

Mark does offer a good suggestion. If your question was instead what is the best way for me to sell off my collection to get the most revenue for it I would say selling items you can locally to save on shipping. As a long time collector I too would say don't expect to make money on it (at least if you are talking about from what you originally paid) because generally the market is down. You may make a good amount on some items but some of those cards that cost $.99 a pack when you bought them might only get you $.20 per pack but if you are ready to let your collection go you can only get what the present market is. Good luck.

It looks like you could come close to helping me finish my 1978 and 1984 Topps baseball sets.

My experience has been its very hard to sell cards, whether it be here or other means..it gets even harder to sell cards if you're going to sell cards individually or in lots and try to price each card, card by card...You'll spend a lot of time pricing, etc. and probably not be worth it timewise unless you have a lot of free time..
So, not trying to discourage but that's what I have faced..And I noticed you have a lot of 1977-78-79 Topps Baseball that I need..
