Hi fine TCDB members.

As I always do, here are the rules for this 3rd installment of the (in)famous Scavenger Hunt (a link to the fourth and final question will be at the bottom of this post). Please be sure to read all the rules (they aren't tricky, but they are specific).

Admin has created a new area (thanks Admin, you rock!) for running giveaways. I'm sure once we see how this one goes, we'll be able to roll it out for others to use. It will have the look and feel of the User List comment area. As the creator of the question, I can elect to display the answers or not. In this case, I will not display the answers until entries are closed. This will eliminate the copying that has taken place in the past, yet keep the answers public. You will be able to see who has answered, and in which order, just no answers will be visible right away. Additionally, replies in this system are not editable. Answers will eventually be visible to all. Please be aware of that when you respond. And in case you didn't know, I can see the answers before I reveal them, but I cannot edit them.

Rules are similar to the previous contests.

Answers will be reviewed in the order they are received. If someone submits any additional responses, only the last response counts, and the timing of that last response is what is used in determining order of receiving the correct answer. Since the responses will not be visible until after the Answering Window is closed, you may make whatever comments you like (keep it family-friendly, please) along with your answers - in fact, you won't want to make a second response else you may lose your qualification.

For this giveaway, there will be only 4 rounds, and Round 4 is our Finals Round. The order in which the correct answers are posted will determine the place of finish for the contest. And yes, coming in first will mean better, cooler prizes than 2-4 (top 4 receive manufacturer-issued autographed cards plus others), and 5th will get something. 6th place will receive a single card in a PWE. Heck, if you made it this far, you truly deserve something.

Also, since replies are masked until the window is closed, all members will be able to participate in all rounds now. You may no longer qualify for prizes, but you are able to participate and continue to have fun with the hunts without giving away any answers to those who are still competing for prizes.

Prizes for this hunt will mainly come from the "Griffey423 Stash", which this time around will include an autographed card for each of the top 4 finishers as well as an assortment of other cards. Top 5 (amended to be top 6 now!) will win prizes.

Please click on the following link, enter your response in the area below the question, and click the big blue Submit button. The answering window for this question will be open approximately 24 hours - it will close at approximately 8:00 PM (EDT) on Saturday night. Winners and placement will be announced in this thread around the same time. (Please note, I am traveling on Saturday morning to a golf tournament my son is participating in. I expect to be back to the hotel room by 8 PM, but I cannot guarantee it. If the announcement is later, it's later. :) I will not accept answers after 8:00 PM Saturday.)

OK, so I'm not sure how to do this fairly because it is now closing in on moidnight, some might still be up, some might be in bed and get up early. So, if you get it correct now, I'll award each person "First Place". I have the 4 auto cards from Griffey423, and I'll find a couple of others if all 6 of my finalists get it correct now.

I will remind you that the A's are the same team, no matter where they play. They are not "2 different teams".

I will also remind you that this is a scavenger hunt. Going to more than one external source will probably be needed.

Okay, showing the answers to both versions of the question. For those with someone OTHER than Greg Luzinski, who was the player I was going after, please explain who the various people are and the relations as described. Thanks.

I got to Luzinski but could not figure out the second team they played together on so i though i was wrong. 

They both played with the Phillies and the White Sox.

Anyone else not realize that KCA was KCAthletics not KCAmerican League and end up with Blue Moon Odom? The first time that's where I landed.
