I think PWE could be scary since there is no tracking. And sadly I have known some pretty shady dealers thru-out my life so I err on the side of caution.
What are some other low cost (if any methods are used by the community.) with tracking?
What is the best method that you use for sending such as how you pack and such for lower end cards
Also many trades may not be worth trading with tracking unless it is a larger lot.
What is your thoughts?
I have not done a trade yet but thinking for some ideas and good practices

Unless the majority of people think PWE works well with low cost cards. Seems like you read the forums here and things tend to get lost. But also tracking on a 50 cent to maybe a buck card in my view is not worth it.

Over the years I have been trading ONLY .005% of the PWEs send and received has not made it.
97% of all my trades have been by PWE. Some up to 21 cards with extra stamp. 25% of my sales have been PWE. It is lower as sales are larger numbers of cards.
At times I think it is not worth it to trade a common for a common (you know .10 card) that will cost us each a stamp. I keep doing it because I'm willing to help out another collector.

I do almost entirely PWE. Certainly traders may want to consider another option if they are trading valuable cards where the extra postage is well worth it but much of the time I'm trading $1-$2 in cards so I'm fine risking that to pay $.85 in postage.

I buy a box of bubble mailers and shipping in the US with tracking is under $5. Shipping to Canada is like $14. So to make it worth while, I try to not do trades of low amount of cards or low value.

I typically do PWE and I think I'm up over 800 trades and only had a handful that never made it (one to Canada and maybe 3 in the US). If it's a valuable card then I will do bubble mailer but it all comes down to communicating with your trading partner so they know what you plan to do and you know what they plan to do. As for how to pack, there are several threads about that already that you can probably find using the search function on the forums.

Almost 200 trades and only one instance where where a trade to me was shredded by the USPS sorter. The post office actually delivered me the empty shredded envelope. The trader offered to replace the cards, but I declined as it wasn't their fault.
Honestly, I am more scared selling on eBay than sending PWEs on this site. Set builders and team collectors are a completely different breed than the "bros" found on eBay.
There are many trades where the packing + tracking would cost more than the cards.
Start small.

On the flip side of that, my local calls it 3-4 maybe (pckg w/tracking) A package was sent to me with tracking that took 10 days....when checking with USPS...it indicated it was shipped...then stayed in VA for delivery with a delivery date in VA that changed every couple of days....on the 10th day it was delivered to me in Missouri. Ebay tracking is worse, as its marked as shipped when label is created, USPS doesnt use that # in thier system....Ive had cards delivered prior to being changed to delivered and up to 11 days after its marked as delivered. I suppose it can be considered cheap entertainment, had one shipped from MD to San Francisco (for almost a week) then to Kansas City MO, to Kansas City KS, back to Kansas City MO.I've had only 1 PWE mangled by the PO but the cards were fine.
