Newbie question here. After submitting a trade request how long do you wait for a reply before deleting the request? Thank you.

It all depends on yourself. Some members will put some info about responding on their profile. Also, you can see if the member has logged on by looking at their profile.

I usually give it a week. I also try to check their last login as well as their last feedback comment. If either are more than a month in the past, I usually don't send a proposal because the odds are low. However, sending a private message to check interest is a sound idea in those cases.

Since I have a small table in my office I put the cards aside on for trades, I'll leave trade offers out there for a while. If I don't get a response after a week and I find another person with matches I'll cancel it and pull the card(s) into the new trade offer. I've had some that were accepted weeks after I made the original offer.
Going the other way, I know I'm slow to response so if I'm interested in the offer I will usually let the other person know I might need a couple days as I always pull all the cards before accepting anything. If I'm not interested, I will decline right away so not to keep the person on the other side waiting if they are chasing down a particular card. That way they can try someone else.

99.7% of the time I will message the member about a deal before making an offer. We are all different and do things differently. There is no wrong way (but appears to be rude) Would be very nice if members reply within a few days one way or the other. (Offers and messages). I do know a couple of members that only log in only once a week or longer.
Most of the time that I find a member with a card(s) for me. I have a lot of cards for them so I will let them pick which card(s) they want for the ones I want.

I give em a week, cause there's a lot of stuff going on in people's lives such as family, children, career and so forth. Then I delete, but I will check to see when they where on last before making a decision.

It depends. I would suggest using your best judgement. Sometimes folks forget, so a short, friendly note sometimes can help.
With me, it depends on what other deals I'm working on. If somebody else is asking or offering cards that are included in the trade proposal that's sitting there and waiting to be approved, I might pull it back sooner than I would otherwise.

I love to trade! Check the top couple of paragraphs of my profile to see my general trading desires. If you're uncertain if I’ll take a certain trade, message me and we can figure out something.

If i throw out a request i will give it a month... I am not that urgent in needs.
I do try to respond to my trades within a week but if i havent accepted within a week. I am really struggling to make it worthwhile on my side.
Keep in mind a lot of us have items in our want list that we are not passionate about, but just to increase the amount of offers we can get, so if you throw out an offer for junk coming to me and a bunch of lebrons going to you... i might let it sit until i have thouroughly searched your trade list to see if there is anything else i might want from you.

I have trade proposals I've sent that are over a year old. I just keep them open on my end to remind me not to bug the person again.
