I have about 3000 cards. Most were given to me when I was a kid.
I recently scanned them all into CollX. I know I can't trust a lot of the estimate pricing from there, totaling around $900, so I exported it from there and imported it to sportscardpro.com. Ignoring the obvious $3500 card, it still values my collection around $3000.
So could anyone take a look and give me a realistic price I should try to sell the whole collection for?
Here are the different links to my collection. The one nice thing about the CollX collection is that it has the actual photos of every one of my cards I scanned.
Sports Card Pro/Price Charting
animerunt's Sports Card Collection (sportscardspro.com)
animerunt's Collection (pricecharting.com) (Same collection, different site, slightly different presentation of data)
CollX
https://share.collx.app/animerunt (I would recommend browsing this one through the app as the website share is trash, no sorting/searching. Defaults to sort by most recent scan.)
Excel export from CollX
animerunt-2024-03-08-sports cards collection.xlsx (probably easiest way to filter the whole collection if you know excel)
*edit fixed xlsx link

I'm sorry, but you will not like most of the replies to this. I went through your collection and I'm afraid there are not many cards worth even 1$. The five to ten cent range is more reasonable for almost all of them.
Worst of all...the card valued at 3500 is not worth ten cents... these cards were mass produced and are almost literally a dime a dozen. I loved Vance Law back in the day but his cards are not worth that today. If I was to guess, 100$ maximum for all those cards but I did t look at every one. Sorry.

Unfortunately most of those players are no names. Unless it’s a highly known player from the 90s it’s unfortunately not even worth a cent. Now hall of famers and more known players base cards could be from .10 to a dollar but still not a lot. There are a few cards that may be worth about a dollar but very few. Unfortunately if you could get anymore than $20 bucks I’d be surprised. I’ve had a bin of 90s commons with about 10,000 plus cards in it and I can’t even get somebody to take it for $10. Heck I’ve even tried giving to some of my buddies but nobody will even take them.

I would agree with Ron for the reasons given. The memories are fun but the money just isn’t going to be there from what I see.

1988 Donruss, you can get the entire 660-card set for approximately $10. Other than a few outliers, it appears most of that collection is from the junk wax era and not worth more than a couple hundred bucks.

First of all Welcome to TCDB
Ok so I am going to be the oddball here. You don't have any huge cards from what I see. There is no such thing as a "junk wax era" even thou it's a term many have been brainwashed into accepting. many of the cards have values and sell online for whatever reason.
Many are commons and .20 to a .25 is a fair internet value for many of them. There is others values I could see go for .50 cents to 2.50 depending on the card.
Some of the cards you may want to trade and perhaps trade up. People need certain cards for sets.

If I am reading their post correctly the OP is interested in selling and not trading. I am one to also agree with Ron that is around $100 or so.

You would have to site your evidence.
Junk wax refers to a period when card production numbers leaped up in line with a boom period at the end of the 80's. While statsnerd is right that any one card could sell for 30, 50, 75 cents thar would be an outlier and when you are selling a large lot of cards the likelihood that one person really wants all of those cards is pretty low. And they will not spend 100$ to get ten, twenty or even 100 common cards. The cards aren't junk, they just are ultra common. Junk wax is the loving name we give it:)

I' m not sure of your point. You came up with a name for an era of collecting and it is the new standard? Check the "stats" on production numbers. I hope I'm misunderstanding the reason for the link you posted.
The reality is that any one card could sell for anything. Maybe Vance Law's mom is desperate for that card to complete her search for every card he ever apeared on. She may be willing to pay five, ten, one hundred dollars even for that card. That is the tiny tip of the high end of the curve. At the peak of the curve is likely 1 cent. If stats are not that important, maybe changing name to semanticsnerd would work better?
