Year: 2014

Set: SAGE HIT - Silver (Rate)

Card: #44 Austin Franklin

“ What exactly is going on on the front of this card? It looks like he's doing a magic trick. ” -Billy Kingsley

“ Now I know how old folks feel when they look at some newfangled gizmo they don't understand and realize this is no longer their world... ” -revnorb

“ These "workout" pics are terrible. I do like the parallel sets. ” -SFC Temple

“ While I like the look of the silver, the Hit series has gotten too plain lately. ” -jupiterhill

“ I think he's a magician, not a wide receiver. ” -deporcoruña

“ Not sure what the point is of the playing card in this picture. ” -koloth42

“ Gotta love the football drill where you have to catch floating playing cards. Seems weird but for a wide receiver, it's great for working on hand-eye coordination. Not a big fan of Sage Hit but for football fans, they are one of the first cards that are released with the new rookies and can be valuable if you pull a possible superstar. ” -carthage44

“ "I will catch this playing card to show how good my hands are" ” -Mike67

“ Can't get any worse if they tried. Oh, they did try. Yes, everyone wants a card lacking a logo, team name, uniform, etc.....a card that is lacking in so many ways ” -NJdevils

“ IS...THIS...YOUR...CARD? ” -DaClyde

“ He can catch a card AND a football! ” -jlaz10

This is the problem with SAGE producing draft cards without an NCAA licensing agreement. We get these horrible cards from the combine and pro days or cards with blank helmets and jerseys. Personally I wish that SAGE would just go away.

Just don't buy them and they will go away.   Buy what you like and that's all.

Unfortunately, these cards will not be going away anytime soon because football fans are so eager to get their hands on the new rookies even if that means suffering through terrible card designs.
