Year: 2009

Set: Upper Deck - Gold (Rate)

Card: #764 Carlos Delgado

“ Nice looking numbered card of a very overlooked player. 33rd all-time in home runs. ” -switzr1

“ I really like this design. And a serial numbered parallel? Even better. ” -Billy Kingsley

“ Nice action shot. I actually like the gold on this one. 10 years of stats on the back is at least better than 5. And it's soooo much better than the duck card. ” -Vvvergeer

“ 764 cards in a set, kinda miss those days of huge set numbers ” -Thunderfoot

“ ?Gold Parallel? Shouldn't the one with the gold background on the back be the "Gold" Parallel? Now I am totally confused about which one is which. ” -captkirk42

“ For some reason '09 Upper Deck never resonated with me. I mean, it's a sharp-looking design (especially in gold parallel form) but I guess it lacks a bit of charm when compared to past UD baseball offerings. Anyways, Let's Go Mets!!! ” -mkaz80

“ If my wife wife see's this, she'll start collecting cards! I'll have the biggest collection of Ducks, Deer's, Hippo's, Lion's, Tiger's,,, oh my ” -revelie99

“ Carlos Delgado always reminded me of a left-handed version of Pedro Cerrano (the voodoo guy) from the 1989 film "Major League". ” -Alomar_Collector

“ Good card with 1 complaint. I like the full picture on the front. Name a little hard to read. Back is good--stats plus text. But I hate using the same picture front and back. ” -cjjt

Delgado was the man. Travesty that he isn't in the Hall. One of the most fearsome hitters of the 2000s. Love this card.

Only after seeing the other comments did I even notice the serial numbering.

Nice card, but I remember him more as being a member of the Toronto Blue Jays...
