interesting that several comments are about the card going for a computer / tech design. I think that this "Ionix" set, along with the 1998 set, was actually going for some reference to the intersection of baseball and the Star Trek world. this insert set is "Hyper" as in Hyper Drive / Hyperactive [player,] and the other insert sets are Warp Zone [warp speed / zoned in] Shockwave, ATomic, Pyrotechnics. A similar theme UD set was HoloGrfx, and I think Star Trek had a Holo Deck, with insert sets [Rocket] Launchers and Starview

IONIX are usually cool but in this set, the comouterized fonts detract from the card.

I love how much is being discussed how busy the card is. I definitely agree. I like more simple and basic designs. Make the player the focal point of the card! ------------------------------- Blake
