“ I really like the simplicity yet effectiveness of Star cards. In this set I love they used a different font for names. ” -Derek McDonough

“ Weird seeing the black and white Sox uniform on the front and the 80s red, white, and blue logo on the back. Frank Thomas's arrival was the beginning of the new Sox era. ” -hiflew

“ Perfection in a card design. :) OK, maybe not, but at the time, it fit in with the rest of the Star series sets. And I know the usual complaints - the photo isn't that great and there are no stats - well, there was always a close up shot used on one of the cards, usually the first card which doubled as a checklist, and then there was an attempt made to use various types of photos through the rest of the set (easy enough to do when you have 9 cards of a single player). Also, one card was usually devoted to stats, sometimes we'd split it across 2 or 3 cards, depending on the length of their career. ” -vrooomed

“ A+ for background fans, otherwise I'd only want this set to put next to my other early 90s sets in an effort to make the other sets look more interesting. ” -jackal726

“ Nice Star card. Wow is that shade of Blue really THAT BRIGHT? Or is the scan colors set high? ” -captkirk42
