Began a trade at the beginning of March and haven't seen the cards or heard from the member since. Tracking shows my package was delivered on the 9th and the transaction hasn't been updated on their end yet. Keep hoping to get home and see the package but nothing yet. Sent a message about a week ago and no response. He has 23 positive feedbacks, which is kind of a small number, but I only had 28 at that time. He has been on the site several times this month so I know he is at least alive and well. So, how patient should I be? Not responding to my message has me ready to chalk it up as a loss, or am I jumping the gun?

Depends when they last logged on. I always give the benefit of the doubt. There can be many valid reasons. I would never leave Negative feedback until I know for sure. Also, besides reading a member's Feedback I also look at their Completed Transactions. If a member has 100 completed transactions but only 10 feedbacks, it makes me wonder. Why did 90 transactions not garner a feedback?
Just recently another member lambasted a trader only to discover the trader had died. http://www.tradingcarddb.com/Forum.cfm/Page/G/ID/0/?MODE=VIEW&ThreadID=10249&PageIndex=3

Someday my cards may double in value and then be worth half of what I paid for them.

Agree with C2 on not giving negative feedback till a little more info is found out. But naming the member's ID here in the Forum may help as others may also have traded with the same guy and are also having issues; or it may cause the member to realize he has a trade that is still not completed (though your messages should have done that). Rogue traders have been found out this way as well as the traders who had a good reason for th trade not being completed, case in point, C2's example.

I always give them 90 days, you never know what has happened. Look at the sellers Feedback if they have 70% negative feedback then it's a safe bet you got nailed, but if they have all good then give them time. Call eBay they have numbers and can call on your behalf or they may even know what is going on.

I trade via Beckett only exceptions period. So if you wish to use eBay prices then please move on.

I have a package MIA, but I’m still holding out. Seeing the trader’s feedback, I think they got lost in the mail, at least that’s what I’m hoping.

No! Not you Vrooomed! Another trader. I’m waiting to get cards from them. Unsure if I should share who it is or not. I’ll give them another day...

Alright, time to take action. Steel Perogie, please respond to my message. Have not received your cards and have not got a message from you on if they got lost in the mail.

I completed 3 trades with SteelPerogie since last November. I know he waits for his cards to arrive before sending and doesn't respond to messages or update the trade right away. Our first trade took 18 days to complete, but my cards were there within 3 because I always send first class with tracking. So I held my breath and waited and waited. They did finally arrive pwe and sloppy less one card that he made good on the third time we traded. Second and third trades took 10 days. So I did not give him negative feedback and he hasn't rated me at all. I don't think we'll be trading again and I did turn down his last offer. I hope this helps.
