Had a situation happen today with an Auction I won on eBay. Was notified this morning that the seller shipped the item today and arriving soon. I paid for the item on 25 Nov 2018 and he ships it on 3 Dec 2018.
In the grand sceme of things it doesn't really matter but in your opinion what is a acceptable turn around from winning auction, to payment to shipped?
Just curious.

My son sells some of his wrestling action figures on ebay and I believe ebay actually suggest shipping within 48 hours (I amagine 72 hours if there is a Sunday or postal holiday). Outside of that I would at minimum give the seller a low mark for shipping on time.

What did the seller advertise as their Handling Time? I would at minimum expect a message letting me know there were extenuating circumstances if exceeded.

I believe that it states or Ebay states, that an item will be shipped within 3 days. As someone said, you have weekends to consider. Also things happen, people get sick, job or family may delay Ebay mailing. I know as a seller, people are supposed to pay within 3 days, most do, not all and some dont pay at all.

Seller didn't have a handling time. No worries I was just curious what others thought was acceptable. I for one try to get out within 24 hours. But understand circumstances.

I use Ebay more then I really should and have had to deal with late shipping many times. I tend to give a week after the arrival date before I contact the seller. I have learned a lot of times when cards are shipped out late it was usually an oversight and the seller is apologetic and ships it out. As long as I recieve my card I give the benifit of the doubt and leave favorable feedback.
Also I tend to look at reviews left by others as well to see what shipping patterns the seller has. If they have a history of taking a moment before actually shipping then I know what I am in store for and I take that into account.
For the most part I always try to be positive as I can. Things happen.
Communication is more important to me then shipping time.

i have a seller i buy from frequently. they typically take about a week to ship my orders but to be fair they usually have auctions running all week. it's easier to ship bulk than one at a time...
they do have good communication regarding shipping times.

Unacceptable. Ebay deals in Business Days, Monday through Friday. When creating an ebay listing you have four options for Handling time; longest being "3 business days". Considering you paid on a non-business day, Sunday, then the "Same Business Day" would be Monday, 26 November. The "3 Business Days" would have been Thursday, 29 November. 3 December was two business days late. Here's a screen shot from ebay when creating a listing.

Someday my cards may double in value and then be worth half of what I paid for them.

Three business days seems fair. Anything longer than that and the seller should really be communicating with you. Because situations do come up on occasion.
There have been a couple of times over the years when one of my items sold while I was out of town, and the first thing I did was email the buyer to let them know that I wouldn't be able to ship it for another few days. As long as you let them know, buyers are pretty cool about it.
