If you decide to go with a replacement, you should absolutely call them to talk through the options. Otherwise they just pick a card that they percieve to be of the same value. If you talk to somebody, you can at least try to get a certain team or maybe even player.
As for Benintendi, it shouldn't take too long. If its from Series 1, the card may already be available as I know he did some stuff since Series 1 (I had a 2017 Update Benintendi card that came over the summer). You can check past Redemption Reports that are posted on the Topps Blog to see if your card is already filled.
