I know this is “The Trading Card Database”, but is there ever any other discussion or posting of other sports collectibles? Such as photos, jerseys, balls, etc? As collectors, we all have other pieces in our collections besides cards. Being a “newbie” here, I don’t want to post anything that is against the rules.

This comes up occassionally.
Official word can be found in the FAQ:
https://www.tradingcarddb.com/FAQ.cfm?ITEM=OtherCollectibles
The directives are pretty straightforward. Therefore, photos, jerseys, balls, and the like will not be listed here according to current directive.

But I’m sure there’s plenty of people who would be happy to have a discussion in the forums with you

Like Lugnut said I would guess lots of people here would enjoy discussions on the items. I’m sure many of us have oddball stuff in our collections.

My concern is that I don’t want to break any of the sites rules. Nothing will be listed for sale...just sharing other items in a collection.

You can post the items for sale in the Buy/Sell/Trade forum. No problems there. Pretty much any collectible stuff can go there.
They cannot be listed here in checklists unless they meet the criteria set forth in the FAQ link I provided.

Dan's right....A couple of months ago I traded a vintage upper deck hockey lamp for some cards. So that's doable. However, listing is a different "animal", 1] precedent should be set, and that still doesn't guarantee a listing. ADMIN exceptions. 2] although the FAQ are rather vague, they explain in general. 3] if interested, PM me I would be more than happy to help and explain. ~Bob~

We have a thing called user lists. I made one to showcase one of my favorite collections here.

Gunny, absolutely luv your idea with the User Lists. My problem would be how to incorporate the many Collectibles I have to a sample card. It's sounds like a very interesting project however. Something to think about when I get a bit more organized.
Meanwhile, I was wondering, because I asked this question before. Cigars showed unique ways of adding to the user list. What if you had your sample card, and added an extra to your collection. Couldn't you then add a real pic of your Jerseys to your User List.? As usual, always thinking. ~BOB~
