Gents/Ladies,
I recently puchased one of the 2019 Topps Big League SP player variations from an eBay seller with a 100% rating. The seller was absolutely perfect in every way -- super quick turnaround and professional-level packaging of the card for an uber-reasonable shipping cost. BUT, when I slid the card out of the top loader I discovered the card itself was very thin and somewhat flimsy. Way more so than the other Big League cards I had previously opened from a retail blaster. I'm talking '90 Donruss level of cheap card stock. My initial thought was that somehow the card was a fake, but it goes against everything else projected by the seller through his professionalism.
So, I guess my question is this : Has anyone else come across an SP or any other card from his year's Big League product that is way less sturdy than the normal base in terms of card stock? Could this card just be an anamoloy? Is it possible that the card could be counterfeit? And if so, how could I even tell?
Maybe I'm just being paranoid, but I've been handling cards for far too many years of my life to let this one just go without any sort of further thought.
Thanks,
MKaz
