Looks like Hoops is a later release than usual this year. I know it came out on the 6th, but I didn’t see any at Target today. Anyone seen this in retail yet?
Also, the hobby box price this year was a bit ridiculous for Hoops.

I saw it at my Walmart on Friday. Don't do modern basketball, but it was there.

Yeah, the prices for Hoops hobby boxes are nuts this year: $170 CDN at one local store, compared to $90 last year. And still only 192 cards per box (8 cards per pack). Up until two years ago it was always 288 cards per box (12 cards per pack). I'm hoping Canadian Wal-Mart stores get some of the fat packs in but haven't seen any yet.

Sounds like they should be getting to stores near me fairly soon then. Hopefully they will have them this weekend.
And Billy, that stinks not being able to go to Target anymore.

I never go to Target either Billy but that is because the nearest one is 52.4 miles away from me. Rural life.

We don't even have Target in Canada anymore. They shuttered their Canadian operations a few years ago, joining the very long list of national department store chains which went out of business in my lifetime. (See also: Woolco, K-Mart, Sears, Simpsons, Towers, Zellers, Eaton's, and Consumers Distributing). At least Wal-Mart started selling a few basketball cards last season.

Do you have any Canadian exclusive department stores? I wonder if they have exclusives if they do...I know that Tim Hortons cards are not sold in US locations. I asked in three separate locations on my trip to Toledo.
I really am not happy about our local Target making me sick. Besides enjoying the card section, I also like their Christmas section. It's maybe 7 minutes away from me, so I used to be able to go to it any time I wanted.

VERY slow trading due to health problems. Not transferrable so safe to trade with, just moving is painful and can't always access the cards. I thought I was living the rural life. Sounds like you are WAY out in the country! I have 2 Target stores about 13-15 miles from home. I haven't been to Target in a while though (at least a few months).
Billy, that sucks about your Target store. The one I usually go to has always had a Starbucks inside, even though there is an actual Starbucks store in the same shopping center that you have to drive by to get to Target. I have NEVER bought anything from Starbucks. I'm not a coffee drinker anyway. I know they have food and other stuff, but I have no interest in going to Starbucks.

Yes, Upper Deck has released Canadian Tire exclusive hockey sets the past two years and I assume that will continue.
